President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today inaugurated the Jalilabad Olympic Sports Complex.
The Head of State cut a ribbon symbolizing the opening of the Sports Complex, and toured it.
There are photo stands in the foyer reflecting care and attention of national leader Heydar Aliyev and President Ilham Aliyev to development of sports in the country and their visits to Jalilabad.
Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Intigam Babayev informed the Azerbaijani leader about the Complex.
The construction of the Jalilabad Olympic Sports Complex started in 2007. The facility occupies a total area of 5 hectares.
President Ilham Aliyev was informed that all conditions had been created here for hosting mini-football, basketball, volleyball, wrestling, judo and taekwondo tournaments.
The Complex has a gym, shooting gallery, chess room, swimming pool, tennis court, green area, stadium with artificial grass and 3-storied hotel.
Then, President Ilham Aliyev met with local residents.
On behalf of Jalilabad`s residents, member of Azerbaijan`s national basketball team Zaur Pashayev thanked the Head of State for his care and attention.
