The Turkish security forces are not involved in Syria's hostilities, Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said, Anadolu agency reported today.
"The Turkish government's support for the Syrian opposition does not mean that Turkish security forces are involved in the hostilities.
Earlier it was reported that the Turkish opposition Republican People's Party accused the security forces that they are allegedly involved in Syria's hostilities.
Over 115,000 people were killed and more than 4.2 million people became refugees in Syria during the conflict, which began in March 2011. Two million people have fled to neighbouring countries. The main burden of receiving refugees fell on Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon and Turkey. The total population of Syria before the conflict was 20 million people.
