BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 1. Mines must be recognized as dangerous as chemical and biological weapons, the ex-Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey and politician Hikmet Chetin said at the opening of the "Humanitarian de-mining and sustainable development goals" international conference, Trend reports.
"The UN recognizes mines as dangerous as chemical and biological weapons and should intensify its efforts in this area. I believe that this conference is important for cooperation in the sphere of de-mining," Chetin added.
