Azerbaijan is an important partner of the Council of Europe (CoE) in the field of youth policy, Director of CoE Youth and Sport Ralf-Rene Weingartner said.
A lot of Azerbaijani youth organizations operate in Europe and they realize various projects, he said.
"Azerbaijan, as a country in which lives the Muslim population, as well as other religions and traditions, is a bridge between the East and West. The country has good relations with East and West," he said in Baku on Thursday.
Azerbaijan's this feature is a wealth of intercultural dialogue, which the European Commission leads.
Weingartner said the CoE is actively cooperating with the youth of the Caucasus, as all countries in the region are parties to the youth policy organization.
"Every year we organize a youth peace camp, whish is attend by the youth of Israel, Palestine, and young leaders from Russia and Georgia, Azerbaijan and Armenia, to discuss conflicts in the region and ways of their peaceful resolution," he added.
