The value of produced goods and provided services by industrial enterprises and individuals working in this sector in Azerbaijan in the first half of 2021, has decreased, Trend reports referring to the State Statistical Committee.
According to the committee, this indicator amounted to 23.1 billion manat ($13.6 billion, down 0.3 percent on annual basis).
The decrease was due to reduction in oil and gas production by 3.2 percent, while manufacturing volume of non-oil products grew by 16.6 percent.
From January through June of this year, about 62.6 percent of the manufactured industrial products accounted for mining, 31.3 percent - for processing, 5.2 percent - for electricity, gas and steam production, distribution and supply, and 0.9 percent - for water supply.
The share of the private sector in the industry sector was 81.7 percent. Over 90 percent of the total production fell on industrial goods, and nearly 10 percent - industrial services, said the committee.
