Azerbaijan’s export of non-oil products increased by $870 million in 2021 compared to 2020 and amounted to $2.7 billion, the Azerbaijani Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication told Trend on Jan. 7.
According to the data, the share of fruits and vegetables in the export of non-oil products amounted to $630.4 million for 2021.
The export of ferrous metals and ferrous metal products increased twofold, cotton yarn - by 3.1 times, sugar - by 19.2 percent, chemical products - by 2.9 times, cotton fiber - by 58.3 percent, aluminum, and aluminum products - by 66.2 percent during the corresponding period.
The export of food products increased by 38.7 percent or $101.5 million while non-food products - by 93.7 percent or $252.1 million in December 2021 compared to December 2020.
The biggest importers of Azerbaijani non-oil products are Russia, Turkey, Switzerland, Georgia, and a number of other countries.
