Investments in fixed assets amounted to 1.3 billion manat ($797.6 million) in Azerbaijan, from January through February 2022, which is 2.1 percent (28.1 million manat or $16.5 million) less than the same period in 2021, Trend reports citing the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan.
Investments in the oil and gas industry decreased by 11.2 percent compared to January through February last year and in the non-oil sector increased by 12.1 percent.
A number of 73.5 percent of investments in fixed assets or 984.3 million manat ($579 million) fell on the production sector, 17.9 percent (240.6 million manat or $141.5 million) - on the service sector, 8.6 percent (114.8 million manat or $67.5 million) - for the construction of residential buildings, the statement said.
A total of 58.2 percent of the funds (779.5 million manat or $458.5 million) directed to the fixed capital, accounted for internal funds.
Some 815.9 million manat ($479.9 million) or 60.9 percent of the funds allocated to fixed capital, were spent for construction and installation work during the specified period.
In the total volume of funds directed to fixed capital, funds of enterprises and organizations accounted for 75 percent, budget funds - 10.4 percent, other funds - 5.2 percent, personal funds of the population - 9.4 percent.
