BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 20. The Russian Rostselmash Group of Companies plans to increase the production of harvesters up to 30-40 units per year on the basis of Azerbaijan’s Azermash company, the Group’s Sales and Export Director Maksim Maksimov told Trend.

According to Maksimov, work is currently underway to train specialists at the Rostov academy.

“Currently, in Azerbaijan, we are focused on the production of combines of the NOVA model. A compact, maneuverable combine with high ground clearance and a system of longitudinal and transverse terrain following was developed taking into account the possibility of comfortable operation in foothill conditions,” he said. “In the future, it’s planned to expand the range of combines with other, more powerful. In this direction, negotiations are underway to establish the production of cars with 380 or more horsepower.”

The group’s representative also noted that the parties will consider the issue of exporting combines produced in Azerbaijan in the future.

"First of all, we can consider exports to such countries as Iran, Turkey, Iraq, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan," added Maksimov.
