EIA updates forecast for Russia's oil output in 2024-25

BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 10. Russia's oil production in 2025 is anticipated to reach 10.63 mb/d, Trend reports.

This projection remains unchanged from the previous month's forecast.

As per the US Energy Information Administration (EIA), Russia's crude oil output is expected to stabilize around 10.5 mb/d in the first quarter and 10.6 mb/d in the second quarter of 2025. Subsequently, it is predicted to slightly rise to 10.7 mb/d in the third and fourth quarters of the same year.

In 2024, Russia's oil production is forecasted to be 10.42 mb/d, a marginal increase of 0.02 mb/d compared to the earlier estimate. Specifically, in the first quarter of 2024, the country is projected to supply approximately 10.67 mb/d, followed by a decrease to 10.36 mb/d in the second quarter. The output is then expected to hover around 10.27 mb/d and 10.39 mb/d for the third and fourth quarters of 2024, respectively.

The EIA estimates Russia's oil output in 2023 to have been 10.75 mb/d, marking a decrease of 0.22 mb/d from 10.97 mb/d in 2022.

Furthermore, according to the EIA forecast, Eurasia's liquids output is anticipated to reach 13.39 mb/d in 2024, with an increase to 13.74 mb/d in 2025.
