Bank of Georgia (BOG) continues to encourage the agriculture of the country, Trend reports via Georgian media.
As reported, a cattle farm was built in the region of Samtredia with the cooperation of the Bank.
BOG allocated 60,000 lari ($18,686) investment for the project, which was used to build a capital farm and ancillary buildings for 30 cows.
The farmer produces cheese and meat. Within the framework of the mentioned project, the restaurant also started functioning, which will receive guests from January and offer them produced milk and meat. The entrepreneur plans to enlarge the business further and open an agriculture store in the near future.
"We reckon, that supporting such initiatives will make a significant contribution to the development of agriculture and the economy of the region.", declared Merab Akhvlediani, director of the mortgage and consumer lending department of the bank of Georgia.
