Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr S. Aliyev / Azerbaijan's Ganja automobile plant and Belarusian Dorelektromash enterprise is completing the project to produce a wide range of hinged, construction and road equipment on the basis of 'Belarus' tractors, the head of Azerbaijani enterprise, Khanlar Fatiyev, said. Production may begin in mid-October.
Since the beginning of the assembly work (March 2007) the Ganja plant produced 320 tractors within the framework of the contract signed with Minsk tractor producing plant. The enterprise produces 6 tractor modifications. The assembly of Belarus 895, Belarus 1025, and Belarus 80 Х (for cotton assembling) tractors has recently commenced.
The cost of the tractors varies between AZN 13,000 and AZN 35,000. The contract to assemble and sell all the ranges of lorries and tractors of Minsk automobile producing plant and the tractor producing plant in Azerbaijan was signed in Minsk at the end of November 2006. Assembly is carried out in an area of 15,000sq m. Ganja plant is capable of assembling up to 1,000 lorries and 2,000 tractors a year.
Dorelektromash JV was established in 1998 and is a large producer of machines and equipment for the construction and servicing of roads. The enterprise is constantly developing new technology and improving old ones.
