Azerbaijani State Customs Committee (SCC) is taking preventive measures in check points to prevent "swine flu", SCC Chairman Aydin Aliyev said.
"We regularly inform the public about situation in check points via media," Aliyev said.
The monitoring held by the State Veterinary Service at the Agricultural Ministry revealed no A/H1N1 virus in the country.
The monitoring was held in pig farms and 388 blood samples were examined at laboratories.
"None of them [blood samples] revealed virus," the State Veterinary Service said. Pig farms are mainly located in Gabala, Ganja and Absheron.
The monitoring will restart on June 1 given the possible spread of the virus in the country.
Azerbaijan has banned import of animal products from America and European continents.
Pig farms have switched to serious prevention regime and veterinary bodies in the regions have taken control of the situation.
Azerbaijani Agriculture Minister Ismat Abbasov said the epizootic situation in connection with the "swine flu" virus is stable in Azerbaijan. The Azerbaijani Government is taking efforts to prevent the spread of the virus in the country.
The virus [swine flu] has been fixed in 21 countries. Azerbaijan has banned imports and exports with these countries.
