The State Consumer market Control Department under the Azerbaijani Economic Development ministry withdrew from sale more than 300 kg of expired products during its next monitoring on the consumer market, the ministry said on Sept.7.

The ministry held monitoring in the Binagadi, Yasamal, Narimanov and Khatai districts of Baku, as well as in the Khachmaz city.

The ministry withdrew expired products, including sausages, confectionery products, oil, milk and dairy products, drinks, beer, packaged fish and baby foods from the shops.

The ministry withdrew 6.5 kilograms of dietary bread, which did not meet the requirements of normative and technical documents and sold without expire date.

The ministry drew up acts on administrative violations towards 10 physicals and one legal entity.

Generally after the Azerbaijani president's decree on amendments and additions to Administrative Violations Code dated May 17, 47 legal entities were fined in the amount of 181,000 manat and 386 physicals to 578,500 manat.

On Sept.7, the official exchange rate is 0.8038 manat to $1.
