US company, owning Georgia Shipping Company, goes bankrupt

The US company "Eastwood", owning the Georgian Shipping Company, declared itself bankrupt.

According to Rustavi-2 TV channel, in 2004, Eastwood bought a shipping company for $80 million.

Some 750 seafarers working in the Georgian Shipping Company have become unemployed due to the company's bankruptcy. Eastwood is going to sell ships belonging to the company.
