The Azerbaijani Appraisers Society is working to increase professionalism among property appraisers.

Together with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the State Economic University and the International Valuation Center (IVC), the society is holding training courses on property assessment methodologies, Executive Office head Amil Ismayilov said.

"About 20 people took part in the first phase of the training June 21-25," Ismayilov said.

He said courses were held on property valuation in the international community.

The second part of the course will be held July 26-30 and focus on property cost assessments.

"The courses will contribute to developing the activity of professional appraisers," Ismayilov said. "This will create conditions for more accurate assessments of collateral, including mortgage assets."

The Azerbaijani Appraisers Society is a public organization registered in 1997 that unites all appraisers in Azerbaijan.
