Kazakhstan plans to introduce intelligent transport systems on major highways in thelnear future, Kazakh Transport and Communications Vice Minister Dulat Kuterbekov said today in Astana.
"The ministry is working to introduce intelligent transport systems," Kuterbekov said during a meeting with Intelligent Transportation Systems World Congress Organizing Committee Vice Chairman Chang-se Kim.
At the meeting, the two officials discussed the upcoming Seventeenth ITS World Congress Oct. 25-29 in Busan, Korea.
Over 2,000 officials from Europe and Asia will attend.
