In January-October Azerbaijan imported about 1.3 million ton of cement and cement clinker, which is 16.6 percent less than the same period last year, the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee said. Cement and cement clinker in January-October was imported in the amount of about $59.33 million, which is 1.3 percent less than that of 2009.
Cement clinker in January-October was imported in the amount of 534,000 tons, 4.5 percent less than the last year. Clinker was imported in the amount of over $24.85 million, 14.8 percent more than the last year.
During January- October approximately 762,400 tons of cement were imported to the country, or 23.4 percent less than the same period last year. Cement worth $34.5 million was imported to the country, or 10.4 percent less than in January-October 2009.
In January-November Azerbaijan produced 1.2 million ton of cement, which is 2.2 percent less than the same period of last year.
