Malaysia expressed its interest to open investment bank in Tajikistan to support small and medium business of the country, Asia-Plus reported on Thursday.
According to Tajikistan's commercial and industrial chamber, the issue was discussed on Wednesday at the meeting of deputy head of the organization Larisa Kislyakova with Malaysian business delegation, which is visiting Tajikistan.
Malaysian representatives explained their interest to Tajikistan with lack of support and investments, provided to small and medium business in the country, they would like to cover.
The delegation also expressed interest to privileges, provided by Tajikistan to foreign investors.
Kislyakova said 80 percent of enterprises-members of Tajikistan's commercial and industrial chamber are representatives of small and middle business. She added the chamber seeks for investors in agrarian sector, processing and food industries.
