Turkmenistan has gathered over 1.2 million tons of wheat, the government said on Friday.
"This suggests that this year's harvesting campaign promises to be successful," the report says.
This year, the harvest plan is 1.6 tons. Grain wedge in the country is 860,000 hectares.
Roughly 2,000 Case, John Deer and Claas combines are involved in harvesting.
In 2011, more than 1.3 million tons of wheat were collected.
The Turkmengallaonumleri Association of Grain Products allowed the selling of 300,000 tons of wheat from last year's harvest volume, which exceeds domestic needs, in foreign markets.
