Non-cash money in Azerbaijan increases by more than 4 percent in 2012

Non-cash money increased by 4.2 percent in Azerbaijan in January-September 2012, which is a result of measures to promote cashless payments, the Central Bank said.

"The growth of money supply during the nine months of 2012 meets the requirements of the economy, expanding money supply in manat grew by 12.8 percent," a report said.

Growth of the monetary base in the period stood at 12.4 per cent compared to the same period last year. The market has grown by 30 percent.

As of October 1, the expanded money supply (M3) increased by 21.3 percent, compared to the same period last year, and reached 15.34 billion manat, expanded money supply in manat (M2) increased by 28.8 percent to 12.402 billion manat.
