In the first quarter of 2013, the M2 money supply (cash in circulation (outside banks) and remaining assets in national currency on accounts of non-financial organizations, financial organizations (excluding credit ones) and individuals) increased by 22.85 percent compared to the same period in 2012 year, the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) stated in its statistical report published on its website.
According to the report, as of the first quarter of 2013, the rate of M2 was o13,837,000,000 manat compared to over 11,263,000,000 manat in January-March 2012.
The cash money in circulation (M0) amounted to 8,999,200,000 manat compared to over 7.241 billion manat in the first quarter of 2012.
Broad Money Supply (M3) in the first quarter of 2013 amounted to 16,863,700,000 manat, which is 17.76 percent more than at the same period in 2012 (about 14.320 billion manat).
