Azerbaijani insurance company Mega Sigorta plans to expand network of agents

Azerbaijani insurance company Mega Sigorta plans to expand the network of insurance agents, chairman of the company's Board Afgan Murtuzayev told Trend on Monday.

"Currently we have seven branches. In the future we plan to increase the number of insurance agents, and we are already working in this direction," Murtuzayev said.

According to him, the company provides services on 28 voluntary and three compulsory types of insurance. Significant proportion of the portfolio of Mega Sigorta occupied by construction insurance, accident insurance, liability insurance, car insurance, voluntary health insurance, property insurance and compulsory types of insurance.

"The company is now demonstrating strong growth. We take risks only after their careful evaluation. In order to protect the taken risks we conduct a successful policy of reinsurance. We partner with leading insurance and reinsurance companies," Murtuzayev said.

According to him, this year the authorized capital was increased by 500,000 manat to 10.5 million manat.

"For eight months of 2013 the company collections amounted to 8.01 million manat. We expect premium growth by late 2013 and take necessary measures to achieve this goal," Murtuzayev said.

Mega Sigorta Company, a member of Compulsory Insurance Bureau, started operating under a new brand since October 1, 2010.

The official rate for September 23 is 0,7844 AZN/USD.
