Gabon is interested in learning from the experience of Azerbaijani customs officers and assistance in using this experience, director of Gabon's customs department Michelle Ondinga Nguengue said at a meeting with chairman of the Azerbaijani State Customs Committee Aydin Aliyev in Baku today.
According to Aliyev, Azerbaijani customs officers have accumulated sufficient experience in the field of cynology and using the "single window" principle.
"This experience can be useful to our colleagues and we are ready to share it and to assist them," Aliyev said. "This is the first visit of a Gabonese delegation to Azerbaijan. I hope that it will start successful and lasting cooperation between our two countries."
According to Nguengue, the visit of the Gabonese delegation to Azerbaijan aims to study the experience and establish the cooperation.
"The success of Azerbaijan and the Azerbaijani customs are known worldwide," he added. "Your experience is useful to our department in the field of administration, risk management and other spheres. We invite the experts from the Azerbaijani State Customs Committee to visit our country to examine the sphere in which we can and must develop."
