Kazakhstan's Aktobe region improves manufacturing industry

Kazakhstan’s Aktobe region ranks first in country’s manufacturing sector, the press service of the local executive body (akimat) said in a message.

The total industry volume index of the region is 104.7 percent, according to the report. Also, modernization of 20 companies is expected to be completed by the end of this year in Aktobe region. The cost of the modernization processes will amount to 12 billion tenge.

Presently, the modernization of 15 companies worth 9.5 billion tenge has been completed and the other five companies are expected to be modernized by the end of the year.

The modernization will increase labor productivity of the region by 12.5 percent and decrease the cost of production and processing of products by 3 percent.

The local companies will modernize equipment and processes with a total cost of at least 400 billion tenge, during the next 5 years.

Large companies of the Aktobe region also aim to implement the “Industry4.0” smart factory program, to increase the output and improve the technologies of production-management by the end of the year.
