Industrial zone to be created in Turkish province of Sivas

An industrial zone will be created in the Turkish province of Sivas, a source in the government of Turkey told Trend.

The source noted that the agreement was signed between the Municipality of Sivas province and the "OZ ER-KA Insaat AS" Company.

"The tender for the construction of the industrial zone was held on June 7 this year," the source said.

The source also noted that, the industrial zone will also be connected to the Turkish railway network.

"The creation of an industrial zone in Sivas province was planned in 2015”.

The source said it is expected that the construction of the industrial zone will be completed in 2019 and will provide jobs for 40,000 people.

The source did not disclose the cost of the project.

Earlier it was reported that, five industrial zones will be created in Turkey, which will contribute to the development of the country's economy.

The share of industry in the Turkish economy is about 28 percent, agriculture - 15 percent, construction - 6 percent, and services - 51 percent.
