"Maxim" car-hailing service plans to expand its activities in Azerbaijan, the company told Trend July 29.

Maxim currently operates in four cities of Azerbaijan: Baku, Sumgayit, Ganja and Mingachevir. The company did not specify in which new cities it plans to start working, yet said that it seeks to make service available in all residential settlements.

The car-hailing services in Azerbaijan began to appear actively during the last two or three years. Many different companies have appeared, "Maxim" entered the Azerbaijani market as one of the latecomers. Nevertheless, the company's services are in demand in the country despite the competition.

For example, the company noted that, 15 times more orders were received in July as compared to May. Such high growth rates are conditioned by the high demand for Maxim services, the Russian company added.

As for the competition in Azerbaijan, the company believes that a large number of participants is normal for the taxi market.

"We consider taxi companies and individual carriers as our current and potential partners. We offer them modern software and orders. This is a mutually beneficial cooperation that allows both parties to develop business and make the service better," Maxim said.

The company considers the availability of several ways to order a taxi - through the application, website or by phone number as its advantages over other market participants.

"Orders by phone number are accepted by professional operators around the clock. Unlike other companies that offer users either a phone number, like most Azerbaijani firms, or only a mobile application, people can choose with the "Maxim" service the method of ordering depending on the situation."

In addition to Azerbaijan, Maxim operates in 10 countries: Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Bulgaria, Belarus, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Italy and Indonesia.

“Maxim” plans to enter the markets of other countries in Europe, Asia, the Middle and Far East, Latin America. In particular, “Maxim” wants to enter the Chilean market in late July — early August.
