Azerbaijan eyes to start exporting new types of cognac until end-2018 (Exclusive)

Azerbaijan’s Sharg Ulduzu LLC, located in Shamkir district, intends to expand the geography of exports of cognac products, head of the company Asgar Alyrzayev told Trend Oct. 6.

He said that so far, the company has been manufacturing various types of cognac products aged five years, adding that now new types of products will appear, and this will also increase the export potential of the company.

“The next month we will start manufacturing cognac products aged 8-10 years, and we plan to make first deliveries to foreign markets,” he noted. “In addition to Russia, we envisage deliveries to Eastern Europe and China. We have certain contacts in these countries, and we keep in touch with our potential customers abroad, so we plan to start exporting to these countries until the end of this year. From next year, we expect to gradually increase export volumes in order to take our place in the markets of alcoholic products’ sales in other European countries.”

The products of Sharg Ulduzu LLC have an international ISO: 22000 certificate, a certificate of conformity issued by the State Committee for Standardization, Metrology and Patents of Azerbaijan, and a hygiene certificate issued by the Republican Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology of Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Healthcare.

The company uses the latest technologies and has modern equipment from Germany and Italy.
