Kazakhstan, Serbia eye to create infrastructure for accelerated delivery of goods

Kazakhstan and Serbia are interested in creating infrastructure for accelerated delivery of goods between Asia and Europe, President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev said, according to Kazakh media.

He noted that his today’s meeting with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic was successful and fruitful. The presidents discussed in detail the state of cooperation between the two countries and its further development.

"We attached special importance to trade and economic partnership. We noted that we do not use our potential fully," Nazarbayev said.

The presidents also paid special attention to international and regional issues and agreed on further deepening of mutual integration between Kazakhstan and Serbia.

Nazarbayev added that during the second meeting of the intergovernmental commission for trade and economic cooperation, new tasks were set and priority areas of cooperation – agriculture, industry, construction, transport, energy – were identified.

The president also noted that there are 20 enterprises with Serbian share operating in Kazakhstan.
