The Azerbaijani company “Sab”, which is engaged in manufacturing of meat and dairy products, has received a business proposal from partners in Russia, the company’s marketing manager Rovshan Abdullayev told Trend.
He said that one of the well-known manufacturers of sausage products in Russia became interested in sausages of the Azerbaijani company.
“After the representatives of the Russian company visited our plant recently and observed the whole technological process of manufacturing products, they praised the quality of raw materials and finished products, as well as the equipment installed at the plant,” he noted. “Following the meeting, we were offered to produce halal sausages [food prepared according to Islamic law, free from pork products, alcohol and certain other ingredients] under the brand of the Russian company. The Russian company is engaged in the production of elite varieties of sausages, but has no experience in working regarding halal products. The negotiations have already begun, and it is expected that halal products will be manufactured at the plant owned by “Sab” under the trademark of the Russian company and will be supplied to Russia.”
He added that small amounts of halal sausages - about 35-40 kilograms - will be sent to Russia soon, so that the specialists work on the design of the new product.
Abdullayev suggested that the joint manufacture of new sausages may start this fall.
The Sab company’s production plant is located in the city of Khirdalan near Baku.
