Total assets of VTB Bank Azerbaijan increase

Total assets of VTB Bank Azerbaijan in the first half of this year increased by 15 percent and amounted to 144.43 million manats, Trend reports with reference to the financial report of the bank.

In the structure of the bank’s assets, a significant share belongs to the loan portfolio (32.6 percent). Its volume amounted to 47.067 billion manats, decreasing by 24 percent compared to the same period last year. Cash amounted to 7.997 million manats, showing a growth of 13 percent. The balances on “nostro” accounts amounted to 46.792 million manats, an increase of 3.3 times over the year.

Deposits of financial institutions, including banks, almost remained unchanged and amounted to 10.217 million manats. Investments in securities almost didn’t change, either, reaching 22.642 million manats. Loans to other financial institutions amounted to 1.047 million manats.

In the structure of liabilities, deposits amounted to 57.101 million manats, showing an increase of 8 percent. Balances on “loro” accounts increased by 5 percent and amounted to 456,000 manats. Loans from banks and other financial institutions amounted to 11.825 million manats, having increased twice.

Deposits of banks almost didn’t change; their volume amounted to 94,000 manats. Deposits of financial institutions other than banks amounted to 12 million manats (an increase of 25 percent). Other debts increased almost 1.5 times and amounted to 2.514 million manats.

The volume of total liabilities increased by 19 percent and amounted to 84.057 million manats.

Special capital amounted to 58.962 million manats, increasing by 8 percent. Capital reserves doubled and amounted to 1.41 million manats.

The bank’s total capital increased by 9 percent and amounted to 60.373 million manats.
