Titan DSZ Limited Liability Company, an enterprise for the production of electrical products, has been commissioned in the Uzbek city of Nukus (Karakalpakstan region), Trend reports citing Uzbek media.
The total cost of the project is $1 million; the annual capacity of the enterprise is designed to produce 50,000 semi-automatic washing machines.
As a result of the beginning of its operation, 30 new jobs were created.
The company plans to manufacture export-oriented products under the brand name “Made in Uzbekistan” to supply them to the domestic market first, and to establish exports in the future.
Production activities have been initiated jointly with Uzeltehsanoat association.
Director of the enterprise Sulaimon Ubaidullaev stated that at the first stage, the enterprise will produce washing machines of a semi-automatic type on modern production lines brought from China.
He added that the work on the next stage of the project is underway in order to expand production and to commence the release of import-substituting finished products
