Turkmenistan’s Jepbar Kompaniýasy has started to produce crumb rubber from used tires, Trend reports with reference to Business Turkmenistan information portal.
Director of the company Vladislav Rodionov said that special equipment of Chinese companies was installed for the production.
"Our company, along with the production of crumb rubber, also offers a service for laying it," Rodionov said.
The company recently signed a contract with the Turkmendemironumleri (Turkmen Steel Products) state enterprise on supply of used tires.
In general, crumb rubber is an environmentally friendly, safe and economical material, widely used for covering children's playgrounds, running tracks, sidewalks, tennis and football grounds.
Jepbar Kompaniýasy is not the only company that deals with recycling. Turkmenistan's Dana Dunya enterprise produces composite paving slabs, building blocks, along with recycling old tires.
