IRICA announces value of Iran’s exports to Algeria, Malaysia and Indonesia

The value of Iran's exports to Indonesia, Algeria and Malaysia amounted to $566 million, during the first five months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through August 22, 2021), Spokesman for the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) Rouhollah Latifi said, Trend reports citing the administration.

So, Iran exported $458 million worth of goods to Indonesia over the 5 months, according to Latifi.

The spokesman also added that Iran exported $66 million worth of goods to Algeria within the reporting period.

“Moreover, Iran exported $42 million worth of goods to Malaysia in the five months,” the customs official said.

As reported, Iran's trade turnover with foreign countries amounted to 59.3 million tons worth $34.2 billion during the first five months of the current Iranian year, which is an increase of 38 percent in terms of value and 14 percent in terms of volume compared to the same period last Iranian year.

So, Iran exported 45.5 million tons of goods worth $176 billion over the 5 months. The exports increased by 63 percent in terms of value and 20 percent in terms of volume compared to the same period last Iranian year.

Within 5 months, Iran imported 13.8 million tons of goods worth $16.6 billion, which is an increase of 21 percent in terms of value and decreased by 5 percent in terms of volume.
