The Iranian government is planning to expand its export markets in a four years plan, said the head of Iran Trade Promotion Organization, Trend reports citing Mehr News Agency.

Destination markets have been categorized based on economic and cultural affinity with Iran, Alireza Peyman Pak noted.

"The following plan stresses the export of technical and knowledge-based services. Export of technical services has been doubled in the past three months," he indicated.

Iran is currently exporting technical and engineering services to Southeast Asia, Africa, and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).

The plan is to expand Iran's export markets to 40 countries in 22 geographical zones and generate $40 billion in the next four years.
