Kazakhstan reports jump in prices for real estate

The cost of one square meter of new housing in Kazakhstan amounted to 386,358 tenge (approximately $894) in January 2022, which is 2.1 percent more than in December 2021 and 15.5 percent more than in January 2021, Trend reports with reference to the data of the Committee of Statistics of Kazakhstan.

The cost of resale of ready housing equaled 409,177 tenge (approximately $947) per square meter, which is 2.8 percent more than in December 2021 and 21.7 percent more than in January 2021.

Rent of one square meter of comfortable housing increased by 5.2 percent compared to December 2021 and amounted to 3,395 tenge (approximately $7.8).

Average selling prices for new homes in Nur-Sultan city were 490,796 tenge ($1,135), while those for resale were 537,193 tenge ($1,013), while rental prices averaged 3,802 tenge ($8.8).

The lowest average prices for the purchase of new housing were recorded in the city of Taraz - 160,000 tenge ($370), while the lowest price for the resale of apartments was noted in Kyzylorda - 214,031 tenge ($495). The lowest rent was also recorded in the city of Taraz - 1,392 tenge ($3.2).
