BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 25. A total of 1.71 million tons of goods worth about 141 trillion rials (about $3.35 billion) were sold at the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) in the last Iranian week (April 16 through April 21, 2022), Trend reports citing the IME’s official website.
This is a decrease of 19.5 percent in value and 14.5 percent in volume, compared to the preceding Iranian week (April 9 through April 14, 2022).
So, over 2 million tons of goods worth about 175 trillion rials (about $4.16 billion) were sold at the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) in the preceding week.
According to the report, about 1.3 million tons of goods worth about 68.6 trillion rials (about $1.63 billion) were sold in the industrial and mining products section of IME last week.
The main products sold in this section were cement, steel, iron ore, aluminum, sponge iron, lead, copper, iron ore, zinc, molybdenum concentrate, precious metal concentrate, gold bars, and etc.
In addition, about 366,000 tons of various oil and petrochemical products worth about 65.6 trillion rials (about $1.56 billion) were sold in the oil and petrochemical products section of IME last Iranian week, the report said.
The main products sold in this section were vacuum bottom, bitumen, polymeric substances, chemicals, lube cut, sulfur, base oil, argon, and etc.
Furthermore, about 43,100 tons of various products worth about 6.49 trillion rials (about $154 million) were sold in the submarket section of the exchange.
