BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 26. Iran’s non-oil exports through the customs of Qom Province (northern Iran) amounted to 320,000 tons worth over $288 million, during the first 10 months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through January 20, 2023), Director General of Qom Province Customs Office, Esfandiar Derikvandi told IRNA, Trend reports.

The director general said that the non-oil exports through the province’s customs for the reporting period increased by 24 percent in value compared to the same period last Iranian year.

Derikvandi added that the main exported non-oil products via the customs of the province were food products, industrial products and household appliances and etc.

According to him, the mentioned products were mainly exported to Iraq, Afghanistan, the UAE, Türkiye, Pakistan, Turkmenistan, Syria, Russia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, India, Uzbekistan and other countries.

“In addition, 58,500 tons of goods worth approximately $307 million were imported through the customs of Qom Province within 10 months. The imported goods were mainly essential products and etc.,” the official noted.

In general, Iran exported more than 103 million tons of non-oil products worth $45.3 billion within the first 10 months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2022, through January 20, 2023). This is an increase of 2.9 percent in value and 17 percent in volume compared to the same period last Iranian year.

At the same time, Iran imported 31 million tons of goods worth $48.5 billion in 10 months, which is an increase of 16.8 percent in value, while a decrease of 6 percent in volume compared to the same period last Iranian year.
