The new national currency of Azerbaijan will be in line with the international standards, the Board chairman of the National Bank of Azerbaijan (NBA) Elman Rustamov told journalists, Trend reports.
According to him, along with the new banknotes, the old ones will be also in circulation. It will not cause any problems.
He also noted, in general, one should treat the denomination process as the tool for the economic policy. В"Denomination means presentation of the national currency rate at the new price. This process strengthens the self-defense abilities. Everybody will witness soon the compliance of our national currency to the international standards. The nomination process has no serious links with the processes in the country and the economic policy”, Rustamov underscored.
