Azerbaijan, Baku, 14 February /corr. Trend S.Aliyev / Azerbaijan's Azerigaz JSC continues its gas supply to Georgia. Currently Azerbaijan supplies nearly 500,000 cu.m of gas to Georgia. The supplies are made depending on the volume of the gas received from Shah Deniz and Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli fields.

Last year, the contract was signed to supply 60mln cu.m of gas to Georgia. This volume was fully covered (for $120 per thous. cu.m), but 10mln cu.m remained unsupplied, Samadzade said. In Feb, Azerigaz intends to supply this amount. Last year, Azerbaijan supplied nearly 1.3mln cu.m of gas per day.

Currently a new agreement on gas deliveries to Georgia is under discussion. The contract will be concluded with SOCAR, who are the gas producers (produced at their own fields).

Earlier an Azerbaijani official stated that the country could deliver to Georgia 500mln cu m of gas a year, despite its demand in the volume of 1-1.5bln cu m of gas a year. Georgia is prepared to purchase Azerbaijan's own gas at $180-$190 per 1,000 cu m.
