"Total continues negotiations for the Pars LNG project. Even without taking into account the international environment the project is not advanced enough to give way to invest this year," Total official representative Kevin Church said to Trend over phone.
Total negotiations are continuing with Iran for the implementation of the Source Pars project
Total has already been involved in the development of phases 2 and 3 of South Pars. Total is assessing the possibility to develop phase 11 as fee gas for the Pars LNG project, Church said.
The information about Total would allegedly stop financing to the natural gas project in Iran was released last year.
Church said that if export is through pipeline, for instance to the Turkish border or to some neighboring countries in the Persian Gulf.
The Source Pars is the largest gas field with 14 billion cubic metres of gas stocks.
