Total volume of oil processing at Azerbaijani oil refineries included in SOCAR hit 5.03 million tons compared to more than 6.1 million tons for the same period of 2008, SOCAR said.
Oil products in Azerbaijan are produced on the basis of two Baku refineries with summary capacity of 20 million tons of oil per year. Both plants are included in SOCAR. It processes about 6 million tons of oil annually. Oil is extracted onshore and offshore owing to its own funds.
