The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) exported from its own refineries about 1.45 million tons of oil products in January-September compared to about 1.6 million tons during the same period in 2009.
In September, SOCAR exported about 165,300 tons of oil products compared to over 170,400 tons in September last year.
In 2009, 6.03 million tons of oil were produced at two Baku refineries with capacity of 20 million tons of oil per year compared to about 7.35 million tons in 2008. Two refineries enter SOCAR annually processing 6-7 million tons of oil extracted onshore and offshore owing to own funds.
