Novorossiysk port reduces oil transshipment by almost 17 percent

The Russian Novorossiysk International Trade Sea Port transshipped around 39.76 million tonnes of oil in the first half of 2014 versus 47.82 million tonnes in the same period last year, the port`s website said.

The Russian Novorossiysk International Trade Sea Port transshipped around 39.76 million tonnes of oil in the first half of 2014 versus 47.82 million tonnes in the same period last year, the port`s website said.

The port transshipped about 14.66 million tonnes of oil products during the reported period compared to 12.8 million tonnes in January-May 2013, according to the port.

In total, the port transshipped around 68.74 million tonnes of various cargo in the first half of the year, compared to 72.12 million tonnes in the same period of 2013.

The Novorossiysk port transshipped about 91.74 million tonnes of oil in 2013 compared to 110.83 million tonnes in 2012. The port transshipped 24.2 million tonnes of oil products in 2013 compared to 19.4 million tonnes in 2012. Totally, the port transshipped about 141 million tonnes of various cargo in 2013 compared to about 159 million tonnes in 2012.

The State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) transports its own oil through this port.
