Iran has improved its refineries to boost the share of lighter products in total production level.
According to an Oil Ministry's report, obtained by Trend on June 13, the share of lighter products, like gasoline, in total oil products increased from 66 percent in 2013 to 68 percent in March 2016.
The report also says that the standard gasoline (base on Euro 4 standard) production level increased from 2.1 million liters per day (ml/d) in 2013 to 25.2 ml/d in March 2016.
Iran stopped producing gasoline in petrochemical plants, the report said, adding that during last years the amount of gasoline production stood at 67.5 ml/d, while the figure for the previous year was 64.9 ml/d.
The country's gas oil and fuel oil bunkering also stood at 13.9 ml/d during last fiscal year, while this figure in 2013 was 9 ml/d.
The total amount of oil products export also reached 33.5 ml/d last fiscal year, including 27.5 ml/d of fuel oil and 5.3 ml/d of gas oil as well as and 0.6 ml/d of liquefied petroleum gas(LPG).
Iran's oil gas export increased by more than 10 times since 2013, the report says.
