By Leman Zeynalova – Trend:

The price of Russian gas exported to the European Union (EU) in 2017 can stand at $180-$190 per 1,000 cubic meters, said deputy CEO of Russia’s Gazprom Alexander Medvedev.

He pointed out that European countries were paying on average $167 per 1,000 cubic meters of Russian gas in 2016.

Europe remains the priority market for Gazprom, RIA Novosti quoted Medvedev as saying during Gazprom’s investor day in Singapore.

He noted that Gazprom’s share in European market has increased to 34 percent in 2016, as compared to 31 percent in 2015.

Gazprom increased the volume of natural gas supplies to the far abroad by 12.5 percent to more than 179.3 billion cubic meters in 2016, thereby breaking the historic high.
