Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR drilled 18,580 meters in January-February 2017 against 16,850 meters drilled in the same period of 2016, says a message published on SOCAR website.
All drilling operations in 2017 accounted for production drilling.
SOCAR has commissioned 13 new wells since the beginning of 2017.
In 2016, SOCAR drilled 105,250 meters against 104,410 meters drilled in 2015.
SOCAR includes production associations Azneft (enterprises producing oil and gas onshore and offshore), Azerikimya (chemical enterprises) and Azerigas (distributor of gas), as well as oil and gas processing plants, service companies and the facilities involved in geophysical and drilling operations.
