Turkish company builds large gasoline production plant in Turkmenistan

The President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Turkish Ronesans Holding Company Erman Ilicak, the state news agency "Turkmen Dovlet Khabarlary" (TDKh) reported.

The progress of works on the construction of a plant for the production of gasoline from natural gas on the territory of the Akhal province (region) of Turkmenistan was discussed. As noted, the capacity of this high-tech enterprise is designed for the production of 600,000 tons of environmentally friendly gasoline.

As early as today, many companies already show their interest in the plant's products, and representatives of more than a dozen countries express a desire to get acquainted with its capabilities, TDKh noted.

This facility has been constructed since 2015 by a consortium created by Ronesans Holding together with the Japanese Kawasaki Company in Ovadandepe region near the Turkmen capital.

The cost of the project is estimated at $1.7 billion. The commissioning of the enterprise has been scheduled for December 2018.
