Turkmenistan fully provides Georgia with aviation fuel

Aviation fuel imports to Georgia amounted to 2,100 tons in October 2019, which is 3,300 tons less than in September 2019, Trend reports citing the Georgian Oil Products Importers Union.

According to data, in October 2019, 100 percent of aviation fuel to Georgia was imported from Turkmenistan.

Import of aviation fuel to Georgia in September 2019 amounted to 5,400 tons, which is 7,400 tons less than in August.

Import of aviation fuel from January through October of this year amounted to 83,000 tons, which is 600 tons less than in the same period last year.

According to the union, the decline in aviation oil imports is associated with the suspension of Georgian-Russian flights.

The import of lubricants into Georgia in October 2019 amounted to 1,700 tons, which is 100 tons less than in September 2019.

In October 2019, the largest volume of imports of lubricants was supplied from Turkey - 420 tons, which is 24 percent of total imports.

Turkey is followed by Iran with 410 tons (23.4 percent), Russia - 250 tons (14.3 percent), Germany - 180 tons (10.3 percent) and others.

The import of lubricants into Georgia in September 2019 amounted to 1,800 tons, which is 200 tons more than in August.

Import of lubricants to Georgia from January through October of this year amounted to 16,400 tons, which is 700 tons more than in the same period last year.
