Almost 6.1 million tons of oil and gas condensate were produced in Azerbaijan over the period from January through February 2020, which is 3.8 percent less compared to the same period of 2019, Trend reports referring to the report of country’s State Statistical Committee.
During the reporting period, the volume of produced gas amounted to almost 6.6 billion cubic meters, including 4.7 billion cubic meters of commercial gas. On an annualized basis, these indicators increased by 10.3 percent and 16 percent, respectively.
As of March 1, 2020, the stock of finished oil products amounted to 217,000 tons.
In 2019, over 37.5 million tons of oil and gas condensate were produced in Azerbaijan, which is roughly equal to 2018. The main volume of oil production in Azerbaijan accounted for the Azeri-Chirag-Deep Water Gunashli (ACG) field.
Last year, the volume of gas production in Azerbaijan exceeded 35.5 billion cubic meters, and production of commercial gas exceeded 24.5 billion cubic meters.
