Iran to launch electricity and water facilities

As many as 17 water and electricity facilities will be launched in Iran's Tehran, Ilam, and Golestan provinces tomorrow on December 8, Trend reports citing the Ministry of Energy of Iran.

According to the report, a total of 5.69 trillion rials (about $136 million) was spent on the construction of the facilities, which will be launched tomorrow.

“A water facility will be launched in Tehran Province (northern Iran) in connection with water supplying of 43 villages. Thus, 14,000 families will be provided with drinking water,” the report said.

In addition, 8 facilities will be launched in the Golestan Province (northeastern Iran). There is a small-scale power plant with a generation capacity of 25 megawatt-hours among the facilities to be launched in this province, the report said.

According to the report, the other eight facilities will be launched in Ilam Province (western Iran). One of these facilities is the first unit of a 2.5-megawatt small-scale power plant.
